On April 17 in the city of Asenovgrad is a registered collective company "Coral Spektar". The main direction of activity was research, design and production of sun protection equipment. In June, the first object was built: a stationary awning in a private hotel, the village of Stoykite, Smolyan region. The assimilation and production of tents begins. Linen-cotton fabrics of "Rila Linen" - Samokov are used for covers. The first covers were cut and sewn at home. The constructions were made in a rented small shed and a small room in an annex (12 sq. m). The production of details for aluminum umbrellas begins. A lathe, milling machine and bench drill were used for rent. Personnel: 1 worker and the owners of the company.

The production expanded into a larger rented premises (about 100 sq. m.), 16 km outside the city. The first aluminum umbrellas were produced and sold. Polyester coated silks from the town of Harmanli and the town of Karlovo began to be used as fabrics, which were particularly suitable for the unique shape of the umbrella covers. There are still sites with this model of umbrellas - for example, on the Asenovgrad - Smolyan road, in the center of the village of Narechenski bani. The first models of "Koshnitsa" type awnings were developed - from aluminum cast parts and duralumin tubes. Personnel: 4 workers and the owners of the company.

In the spring, the production was moved to a new base in the city of Asenovgrad (also for rent), with an area of 876 square meters. m and shed - 330 sq. m. This shed became the basis of the modern material and technical base of "Coral Spectar". The first machines were purchased. A sewing production and offices were set up. The first truck was rented. The production of awnings, umbrellas and tents was expanded. The first model of awning with a breakaway arm made of duralumin tubes and aluminum castings was developed and put into production. Personnel: 9 workers and the owners of the company.

First contacts with companies from Greece. Import of aluminum profiles and parts for some new models of awnings begins. The first passenger car and the first truck are purchased. The first new sewing machines are delivered. The expansion of the metalworking machinery continues. A designer-constructor is appointed. The first 100 units of reducers for awnings are manufactured. The company is transformed into the Collective Society "Koral Spektar, Apostolov, Stamova and Co." Personnel: 12 workers, 2 employees and the owners of the company.

Contacts with partners from Greece are deepened. The rented areas and premises are expanded. Production of aluminum joinery and aluminum roof structures begins. The production of awnings is growing. Installation activities for suspended ceilings are organized. At the end of the year, the first warehouse in Bulgaria for aluminum profiles and accessories of the company EL.VI.AL. S.a – Greece is loaded. Personnel: 15 workers, 2 employees and the owners of the company.

Successful activity in conditions of increasing inflationary pressure on the lev. New product models. Expansion of the vehicle fleet. New machines for metalworking and textile sewing. First import of acrylic fabrics. Adoption of 2 new models of awnings with a breakaway arm and a "wide-area" model with guides. At the end of the year - successfully signed a long-awaited contract for the purchase of the leased base.

Plans and projects for the development and expansion of our own production base. Construction of our own power supply. Completion of the technological equipment for new models of awnings. Hyperinflation of the lev. A very difficult year. Reduction of personnel.

Gradual stabilization of the market, which is helped by the introduction of a currency board in Bulgaria. Start of construction of workshop I "Aluminum structures, metalworking and assembly". Restoration of sales from the level of 1995. Construction of large sites: winter gardens, covered swimming pools. Stabilization of sales of awnings. Construction and commissioning of workshop II, in which two sections are formed: for working with acrylic and PVC fabrics. The workshop is equipped with high-performance special machines and equipment for cutting, sewing, hemming, welding of PVC fabrics, etc. specific operations for the production of the textile part for sun protection equipment. Innovative for that time is the technology and software for cutting straight awning covers. Purchase of an adjacent plot and start of design of a new production building with 2 planned workshops: workshop III "Metal structures" with 2 sections - cutting and welding of steel structures and mechanical and plastic metalworking and workshop IV "Electrostatic powder coating".

Construction of workshop III and workshop IV. Delivery and installation of an electrostatic powder coating installation. A quality manual was developed and implemented, and at the end of 2008 a Quality Management System according to standard EN ISO 9001:2000 was successfully implemented.

Delivery and installation of new, high-tech equipment for cutting, gluing and sewing acrylic, PVC and other industrial fabrics and metalworking machines for cutting and bending. Completion of the reconstruction of a new warehouse.
